Tour Montparnasse – Information on Admission Prices, Tickets, Opening Hours, Waiting Times, and More Tips

If you are planning a visit to Paris, a tour of the Tour Montparnasse is a must. Standing 210 meters tall, this skyscraper offers breathtaking views of the city, making it one of the most important tourist attractions in Paris.

But it's not just the view from the tower that's impressive; the building's modern design also attracts many visitors. The Tour Montparnasse was built between 1969 and 1972 and is the tallest building in Paris. Originally controversial for its modern design, the tower has become an important symbol of the city.

Inside the tower, there are not only observation decks, but also offices, shops, and restaurants. The fast elevators take visitors to the observation deck in just 38 seconds, where they can enjoy a unique view of Paris and its attractions. For both tourists and locals alike, the Tour Montparnasse is an impressive architectural masterpiece that is a must-visit. You should take the opportunity to climb the tower and enjoy the 360-degree view of Paris from above.

How to Get to Tour Montparnasse?

The Montparnasse Tower is easily accessible by metro (subway). You should get off at the "Montparnasse-Bienvenüe" station. This metro station is served by Lines 4, 6, 12, and 13. Many bus lines (28, 58, 82, 88, 89, 91, 92, 94, 95, and 96) also stop directly in front of or near the tower.

What are the waiting times for the observation deck of Tour Montparnasse?

Generally, it takes only a few minutes to reach the rooftop terrace, as despite its exceptional views over Paris, this attraction is still relatively "unknown" to most visitors to Paris. On some days, there may be longer waiting times. Usually, these are under 30 minutes, but can be significantly longer on weekends and holidays. To avoid the possibility of queuing, we recommend buying your tickets online. This way, you can bypass the queues for tickets and go directly to the elevators (entrance).
